ASRA, Aquifer Storage & Recovery for Sustainable Agriculture, is a groundwater based project undergoing around the villages in Rajgir, Bihar. It is supervised by a team of professors at Nalanda University under the School of Ecology & Environment Studies (SEES) and financially supported by ACIAR, Australia Government.

ASRA, a word in Hindi dialect, implies a form of support. This project aims to provide innovative support system to farmers of the region to raise their incomes from agriculture and allied activities, through assured irrigation from the reuse of water stored beneath the surface during episodes of high rainfall, run-off, and waterlogging.
